I have used my lenovo smart clock for over a year and a half now, and I’ve made a couple of updates since the device first launched. First of all, there was no notification when new notifications were added. Also, the device is now completely customizable from the front-facing camera and you can change the screen color, the background color, the brightness, the display mode, and much more.
As the latest firmware update brings the device to Android 5.0 Lollipop, users can now choose to have the clock on the lock screen, or to have the clock on the main screen so you can add notifications there.

But like the new clock UI, the clock is not customizable. It can only be customized by the manufacturer. The one thing you can do is change the clock’s clock display. The clock displays the time without any apps, which is nice because the clock may not always be accurate.
