It’s hard to imagine the world without a lot of good things in every home. I know this because I’ve been doing it for the past year, and I have a lot to learn from my own experiences. I try to be very intentional about everything I do, but I don’t really follow the rules of the game. I don’t ask the right questions, I don’t ask the right advice.
We are all on p259, and I am on p269. At this point I feel like we live in the middle of a giant looping video game. Every day is like a new episode, and I cant escape, even when I know I cant escape, I just need to stay on p259.
Even if you have the most ideal of lives, you can never fully escape from them. It’s the law of averages. We can’t escape our own memories of our own lives, even if we try to ignore them. We only escape so far by our own efforts, and so we have to keep working and learning how to get out of our own heads.
We have to start over again every day to keep from giving our memories of our lives a chance to get into the wrong hands. We have to start over so we don’t repeat the mistake we made two weeks ago and ruin our lives. We can only learn how to get out of our own heads by working hard every day in order to make our own lives better.
The problem is that we have no idea how to do that, or where to start. For starters, you probably already know how to get yourself out of your own life, because you probably did something bad, or were the victim of a crime, or had a few too many drinks, or your car broke down, or you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
We’ve learned over the years that you can’t just get out of your own head by doing something nice for yourself or a stranger. We can only do that by working hard every day in order to make our own lives better. This is the first step towards recovery, after we’ve tried to get out of bad situations. But you have to work hard and make the first step to recovery every day in order to get out of your own head.
