I love this photo because it shows how even the smallest, simplest change to the lighting can make a big difference in a home’s mood. A simple change in light, color, or temperature can transform a room, with its walls and ceiling, into a different environment.
I’ve been looking for a good way to explain how lighting works, and here it is. Light is a wave of electromagnetic energy. When it hits a surface, the energy can’t be transmitted to anything else. So if you’re in a room and you have a lamp on, light will shoot out in all directions, but it will also travel through the room to reach all the other parts of the house.
The lights in my home are all controlled by dimmers. I am also using the same dimmer on the two TVs in my home, so the only difference between the two rooms is the dimmer. I also have a third wall that is dimmer controlled, so my room and the other two rooms are the same.
I have dimmable bulbs in my house, not just in the rooms, but I also have dimmable lights in the house. I don’t have a backlit tv, but I do have a backlight on the ceiling to show the whole room. I also have a dimmer in my hallway to dim the lights in that hallway.
I do have a dimmable lamp in the dining room, but I also have an on-board lights on my kitchen and living room. I also have a dimmer in my living room to dim the lights in that living room. It also has a dimmer in the garage to dim the lights in the garage.I have a dimmer in a bathroom to dim the lights in the bathroom. I also have a dimmer in my bedroom to dim the lights in the bedroom.
This is one of those design things that it’s easy to overlook because it’s so simple, but you should check it out because it’s actually pretty cool. I bought my own home a few years ago and there was a wall in the kitchen and dining room that I did not realize was actually dimmable. I had to turn it off because I was spending the night cooking dinner and not in the mood to see what was going on.
The thing is, by most definitions, dimming lights in one room is no different than dimming lights in another. But for some reason I did not think to check that out. So yeah, not only can you dim a room’s lights, but you can dim the lights in every room of your house. All you have to do is set your lights to dim only when you’re ready to get some work done.
We can have dimmable lights in our home, but I am more concerned about dimming the lights in every room of the house. I also am not sure how that would work for the office, but I am going to hold off on that one until I know for sure.
I find it funny that we are already talking about dimming the lights in every room of the house. My guess is that we are only talking about dimming the lights in the room where the lights are on. Now I have to get the curtains in the windows, but I will definitely take that up with my wife when I get home this weekend.
I’ve talked to several other people about dimming the lights in every room of the house. While it may be a common-sense idea, I’m not sure how it would work for the office, but I am going to hold off on that one until I know for sure.
